The school nickname at Ramapo University is Roadrunners. That alone makes Jersey Outlaws Gold-DB’s Nicole Cerasi an ideal fit with their softball program.
But there’s more to the match.
Cerasi, a member of Steinert High School’s state championship program, has verbally committed to join Ramapo’s strong NCAA Division III program, beginning next fall. She will build on her excellent academics, including a 4.49 weighted grade point average.
The second baseman and outfielder was racing around the softball diamond long before she became a track standout. She’s been certified in 2.69 seconds from home to first. She’s also an elite bunter who can mix in power, and has a strong awareness in handling second base.
As a junior last spring, Cerasi was named to The Trentonian All-CVC first team while Steinert won the NJSIAA Group III and Tournament of Champions titles.
